We are happy to announce that the Converted team have won a digital impact award for work carried out on London Travel Clinic, we’ve been an award winning agency for many moons but we feel that they loose their fizz after a while so it’s good to grab a couple per year to show we are still pushing some great work out there for clients.

We were entered into the very competitive and lucrative Healthcare & Pharmaceuticals sector where we faced stiff competition from the likes of Ruder Finn for work on Galderma UK, DigitasiLBi for AstraZeneca, Click Consult for Lloyds Pharmacy, and Torchbox for the Royal College of Nursing.

At Converted we don’t focus too hard on chasing awards, we know some potential clients expect to work with an award winning agency and we do have a few awards but it’s not centric to what we do, in fact to be honest we are quite suspicious of agencies that have too many awards as the process of entering an award is very labour intensive. Collating the data, packaging it, writing the outline, going in deep to explain the process and then results, creating the graphics, designing the medium for showcasing all the data etc. so it’s not a one afternoon type of thing, it’s frequently not a one week kind of thing, it can take several weeks of hard work so it’s not an easy process, with that in mind; awards are most definitely earned, make no mistake about that!

However having said that, Ironically, and perhaps quite tellingly we have gained plenty of work taking over badly set up and poorly run accounts from agencies with glittering trophy cabinets, some seem to be bedazzled with industry medals but down in the trenches they have clearly let some of the day to day work slip. We focus on enjoying our client work and delivering continued growth for them, however from time to time it’s good to step out and go toe to toe with mega agencies out there.. and take some scalps!

The are plenty of awards out there to enter, some more relevant to what we do than others, some easier to win than others, we rank the Digital Impact Awards firmly in the top end of the ‘not so easy’ scale, if they feel there are no entries in a category that are up to scratch an award won’t be presented at all, there are no default winners with these guys!

The Digital Impact Awards champion and reward the campaigns truly making a difference to the communications world. Now in its seventh year, the record number of entries and high standard of submissions given over to the judging panel highlights the extent to which the digital communications industry continues to innovate.

Held at the Brewery, Moorgate, the 2016 event welcomed delegates from a variety of companies and agencies whose digital work was shortlisted by a panel of judges. The night was hosted by irreverent author, broadcaster and former MP, Gyles Brandreth, who kept the audience entertained with an evening of jokes, joviality and celebration.

So, in closing, if you are looking for an award winning agency with a dazzling array of awards like Manchester United’s trophy cabinet, keep looking, it’s not us! We have a few, we are a Google Premier Partner too, and we will continue to get 1-2 each year just to maintain our “Award Winning Agency” status and show conclusively that we can compete with and beat other agencies 10 times our size, however first and foremost we prefer to work on client accounts and wow them with the increase in leads, sales and profit.
