Google AdWords Image Ad Extensions

Advertisers know that sometimes it’s easier to ‘show’ rather than ‘tell’ when promoting a product or service and as the search landscape evolves Google want to make it easier for you to engage and convert potential users.
Today we’re announcing the beta launch of Google AdWords image ad extensions, which will facilitate advertisers to add new visual elements to their search adverts.
Google have added many extensions to search ads to help you be more relevant to your users. The new Google AdWords Image extensions will enable you to convey with far more accuracy and transparency the design style of a sofa, the shape of a dress, or the colour of a lipstick thus enabling your adverts to be richer and convey more information so that they stand out.

The web is constantly evolving and Google users demand more diverse content and richer interactions, in search now on Google more than 1 in every 6 searches delivers visual content results so the new Google image ad extensions will show when Google determine that a search for visual content is more likely to be the desired result by the user.
You can pick the images that you want displayed with your search ads and send them to Google for review. Obviously you must have the right to use the the images you want to display with your ads.
Image extensions are currently running in English globally. If you are interested in participating in the image extensions beta, contact your account manager or fill out this form.
